Tasting notes

The Stema Pinot Noir boasts a fruity bouquet with notes of strawberry and blueberry. It is full in the mouth with soft tannins and finishes with a hint of vanilla.

A great accompaniment to food, the Stema goes well with the likes of lamb, pork, beef and red meat in general.

The producer

Terre Gaie Veneto, Italy

Terre Gaie is a family estate in the Veneto, farming the volcanic basalt soils of the Colli Euganei hills west of Padova. The name means 'happy lands' in local dialect — a tribute to the volcanic hillside vineyards that give their wines a distinctive mineral tension.

Their Stema Pinot Noir is a rare and quietly compelling expression of the variety from northeastern Italy — elegant, aromatic and entirely at home in the Euganei's cool-night microclimate.
