The story of Bordeaux

The world's benchmark for fine red wine — classified châteaux from Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, Margaux and Saint-Émilion.

Bordeaux is the world's largest fine wine region and its most imitated — the template that wine regions from Napa to Bolgheri have tried to recreate for over a century. The Left Bank appellations of Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe and Margaux produce Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines of extraordinary structure and ageing potential; the Right Bank of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion favours Merlot, giving rounder, more approachable wines.

We carry wines across the spectrum — from great classified châteaux such as Cos d'Estournel, Lynch Bages and Pontet Canet to the serious crus bourgeois of Meyney and Cantemerle; from aged vintages back to the 1960s to current-release drinking wines. Bordeaux is where we go to find both the greatest bottles in the cellar and the most reliable everyday red.
