Southern Italy's volcanic wine heartland — Fiano, Greco di Tufo and Aglianico from the Irpinia hills and the slopes of Vesuvius.

Campania — the region around Naples — is one of Italy's most exciting wine zones: ancient indigenous varieties grown on volcanic soils with extraordinary mineral character. The Irpinia hills inland from Naples produce Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino from tuffaceous soils that give the wines a distinctive saline, mineral tension unlike anything else in Italy.

Pietracupa, the small estate of Sabino Loffredo, is our producer here — making Greco di Tufo that is among the finest whites in all of southern Italy.
