Hatteso 2015 is Garbole's Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, conceived as a wine of depth, concentration, and long ageing potential. The grapes are carefully selected and traditionally dried to intensify fruit, extract, and aromatic complexity before a slow vinification that favors structure and longevity. The result is a Riserva built on power and balance, where intensity is matched by freshness and precision.

2015 Vintage (from the winery)

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red tending toward garnet. The bouquet is layered and expansive, with ripe and dried fruit tones that recall sour cherry, plum and jam, followed by floral and spice nuances. As it opens, balsamic hints and a fresh touch of mint appear alongside darker accents of vanilla, coffee and chocolate that broaden the aromatic profile.

On the palate, Hatteso 2015 is rich, enveloping and velvety, with mature tannins and a firm structure that remains harmonious thanks to a vibrant acidic backbone and a savory feel. The finish is long, warm and persistent, echoing the fruit, spice and balsamic notes found on the nose. It is ideal for slow, important pairings such as braised meats, game, and aged cheeses, and it also works beautifully as a meditation wine.

2010 Vintage
"A hedonistic Amarone that shows a ton of dried plums, vanilla, resin, bark and tiles. Sweet and very mouth-filling with layers of plush black fruit and succulent tannins. A huge wine that will, no doubt, blow away those who love this style. Drink from 2023." 93/100 James Suckling. Nov 2019

"Aromas of cedar, crushed violet and black pepper lead the way. The polished palate delivers dried black cherry, raisin, nutmeg and vanilla alongside velvety tannins." 91/100 Kerrin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast Mar 2019
