The 2013 won the silver at International Wine Challenge and also a silver at Hong Kong Wine \u0026amp; Spirits competition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGrown in Calcerous and Clayey soil and fermented in special temperature controlled tanks, the wine undergoes long maceration on the skin. This is followed by 18 months in 5.5 hl Allier Tonneaux and finally in the bottle for 6 months.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a wine which is available for drinking almost as soon as it is released but can also age beautifully for a decade and a half.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\"Liano 2013 greets the eye with a lovely, impressively deep colour, and an exceptionally fine nose, clean-edged, precise, pleasurable. Appealingly spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, and black pepper partner with delicious fruit– red and black forest berry, both fresh and liqueured–, while a smooth toastiness tending to chocolate and vanilla heightens the impression of overall aromatic harmony. The palate's remarkable elegance and smooth texture immediately impress, as do a full body and perceptible yet judiciously- smooth tannins.
